Role Value Proposition: 

In support of Global Infrastructure for MetLife, the role provides technical expertise supporting our Enterprise Scheduling environments and assists our global partners with technical expertise related to their critical batch processing.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Implement and support batch scheduling requests from application teams
  • Provide product support and troubleshooting for the Enterprise Scheduling Platform
  • Maintain focus on customer satisfaction through process improvement and workflow automation


Required Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • Strong working knowledge of Windows, AIX, and Linux command-line operations
  • Experience troubleshooting applications, examining logs and performing root cause analysis
  • Well organized and able to work independently with minimal direction
  • Must have excellent organizational and written / verbal communication skills
  • Ability to take part in an on-call rotation schedule



  • 2+ years experience with scripting, development, and data technologies such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, JSON, XML, etc. to automate processes through CLI and REST API interfaces
  • 1+ year experience working with SQL queries
  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in Computer Science or related discipline strongly preferred
  • Experience working in an Agile environment (Scaled Agile Framework)
  • Familiar with distributed scheduling concepts and tools, such as IBM Workload Scheduler
