Role Value Proposition: 

In support of Global Infrastructure for MetLife, the role provides technical expertise performing day to day application changes within the Enterprise Scheduling environment. Provide technical support in the implementation of our International and Domestic scheduling environments. Assist our global partners with technical expertise related to their critical batch processing.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Support application teams with batch-scheduling changes
  • Coordinate and implement batch scheduling definitions
  • Provide functional product support and technical troubleshooting for the Enterprise Scheduling Platform
  • Develop and implement support and operational readiness standards and best practices
  • Maintain focus on customer satisfaction through process improvement and workflow automation


Required Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • The candidate must be well versed in Enterprise Scheduling Tools (IBM Workload Scheduler, AutoSys, Control-M) and distributed systems support
  • Working knowledge of Windows, AIX, and Linux command-line operations and other tools used in support of the distributed environment
  • Well organized and able to work independently with minimal direction
  • Must have excellent organizational and written / verbal communication skills



  • Bachelor’s degree required, major in Computer Science or related discipline strongly preferred
  • 2+ years experience with scripting, development, and data technologies such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, JavaScript, JSON, YAML, XML, etc. to automate processes through CLI and REST API interfaces
  • Experience working in an Agile environment (Scaled Agile Framework)
