System Administrator - Informatica

Role Value Proposition: 

We are looking for ETL Systems administrator for Informatica products suite which includes PowerCenter, IICS, DQ and PWX on Linux platform. The candidate should be proficient in LINUX and have experience in at least one scripting language (Perl, PowerShell, Python, Korn shell).  ETL Administrator will be working with application developers and other MetLife support organizations on analysis, design, and implementation of application and project requests.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Informatica Production, QA and Development environments in multiple informatica platforms
  • Troubleshooting during system downtime to restore services, determining root cause and establishing procedures to avoid recurrence.
  •  Performs software upgrades/patches/maintenance to enhance performance and stability of the environment and identifies issues pertaining to data integration activity, i.e. firewall, hardware/OS, Load balancer, application configuration issues, etc.  
  • Provides operational support for integration technologies ensuring availability, security, troubleshooting, and maintenance    
  • Performs thorough incident analysis, including problem recreation, resulting in resolution of product-related issues and assists with architecture design and implementation of integration technologies.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required Experience:   

  • 2+ years IT experience with 1+ years working with Informatica tools like PowerCenter, DataQuality & PowerExchange
  • Basic knowledge with a variety of file transmission concepts, platforms and protocols (i.e. SFTP, AS2, HTTPS, FTPS, Connect: Direct)
  • Knowledge of AIX, UNIX, Linux OS environments, including troubleshooting skills and experience with writing shell scripts

Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Excellent organization skills including the ability to multitask and record performance metrics’ strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to work within a team environment, should possess excellent customer service skills
  • Experience with Informatica B2B MFT and Informatica ILM
