Test Data Engineer is responsible for supporting the IT and Business teams by providing technical and functional support of test data management processes, providing integrated test data while contributing to the evolution of test data management processes.  As a Test Data Engineer, you must understand the system interdependencies in order to provide solutions that will allow for effective development and verification within our business processes. The ideal candidate is someone with strong technical skills who possesses expertise in test data management, is knowledgeable of leveraging various industry leading test data management tools,  and has a passion for meeting data governance needs while delivering high quality software through the effective management of test data. In this role you will maintain current TDM processes, while strategizing, designing, developing, and delivering the enterprise test data management strategy. The TDM Engineer, is required to perform Test Data Management functions of Data Setup, developing methods for day-to-day data provisioning, build frameworks for Data Mining and Data Reservation, design Test Data Management solutions for data provisioning for various applications including Data Discovery, Data Masking and Data Subset.



  • Maintain, expand, and modernize test data management framework and processes
  • Strategize, design, develop, implement complex test data management solutions
  • Create, manage, deliver test data solutions within test environments in support of application testing needs
  • Develop understanding of application integration and data dependencies to identify potential issues and process opportunities and improvements
  • Serve as test data expert to ensure availability, security, reliability, integrity of data within test environments
  • Ensure effective maintenance of current test data management processes to provide de-identification of PII within test environments
  • Provide enhancements and automation improvements which increase the efficiency/effectiveness of current test data management processes
  • Coordinate/collaborate with data governance, security, application owners, quality assurance, environment owners and other stakeholders to understand and adhere to business needs
  • Serve as expert for business data requirements, test planning and test data solutions for new or existing technologies.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry standards and best practices and new technologies
  • Advise leadership on industry standards and best practices
  • Continually educate associates in test data management practices
  • Perform other job related responsibilities as needed
  • Serve as vendor liaison to ensure effective communication/coordination with vendor partners
  • Contribute to design and development of target architecture in support to test data standards and practices



  • 7+ years of exp in Data Management
  • 5+ years of experience in data testing and data validation
  • Experience with test data management tools (Informatica TDM, Optim, Dephix, Broadcom/CA TDM,,,)
  • Experience in testing ETL, ELT or similar process with Unix/Linux
  • Extensive knowledge of SQL (experience with Oracle, SQL Server, DB2)
  • Experience working in agile methodology, TDM integration within CI/CD, Enable DevOps
  • Develop and Build Data Subset, Data Masking and Data Generation jobs
  • Experienced in Sensitive data analysis for PHI, PCI & PII data for large databases
  • Build custom code in Python or Java as needed to support TDM solution
  • Familiarity with test engineering any tools such as JUnit, Selenium Webdriver, Enterprise Test automation framework, Unix Shell scripting, JIRA, GIT, and SQL


Education :

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required
