This is a unique opportunity to migrate and expand the DevOps practice on this platform, working closely with the architecture team, and developers, as a Senior DevOps Engineer. You will work across teams to introduce processes, tools, and methodologies to balance needs throughout the software development lifecycle, from coding and deployment to maintenance and updates.  Act as a liaison between various departments that contribute to software maintenance and creation with the purpose of making faster updates and writing code that is easy to update and access.

    

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Design and implement secure automation solutions for development, testing, and production environments
  • Design, manage, and maintain tools to automate operational processes, including deployment and monitoring of applications
  • Define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems
  • Implement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies
  • Implement and automate security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation
  • Evaluate and recommend new capabilities that drive automation and scaling of solutions.  Active participant in creating a DevOps culture
  • Develop pipelines for continuous integration and delivery across Backend, Web, API using Azure DevOps
  • Migrate existing CI/CD Pipeline using Jenkins to Azure DevOps
  • Work with infrastructure and reliability teams to improve software quality
  • Inspire and grow peers and your team alike
  • Provide assessments and highlight technical hurdles
  • Identify potential investments to improve product and process
  • Be aware of the latest trends in the industry to introduce new technology to key stakeholders
  • Provide strong design and architectural influence to our infrastructure development
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and developers to design, provision, configure, manage, and continuously improve a scalable, secure, responsive, and available infrastructure, meeting stakeholder requirements and user demand.
  • Stay current with industry trends, and bring the best of these into our engineering practices
  • Partner with Application Development, Testing, and other Technology teams to automate manual processes
  • Coordinate with Off-Shore DevOps Engineer and Development teams
  • Mentor Development & infrastructure engineers

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering or other related field, or equivalent demonstrated work experience.
  • 5+ years infrastructure engineering experience or Development experience
  • 3+ automation continuous Integration/development experience with Azure DevOps, Atlassian Stack, or equivalent
  • Ability to manage work against business priorities
  • Ability to communicate engineering concepts to non-engineers
  • Ability to grow team members
  • Strong communication skills with ability to work in agile
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with focused attention to details, as well as, demonstrated professionalism and time/task management skills; ability to establish strong relationships.
  • Microsoft – Azure Developer Associate certification or equivalent

 

 

Preferred:

  • Experience working in Financial Services, Insurance, and/or Banking experience is preferred
  • Certification in DevOps Engineer from leading any leading cloud provider.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages, such as Ansible
  • SAFe Agile Software Engineering certification or equivalent
