Role Value Proposition: 

The role of the Senior IT Analyst at MetLife is responsible for implementing, managing and enforcing information security directives and compliance as mandated by HIPAA and PCI regulations.


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Coordination and execution of the annual PCI assessment and ongoing HIPAA compliance assessments
  • Develop and execute the overall timeline and project plan for all activities associated with the annual PCI & HIPAA assessment programs
  • Conduct detailed data security assessments including applications, servers, databases, and other network components and associated processes against the PCI DSS standards and HIPAA to identify areas of non-compliance
  • Collection and quality assurance of evidence, penetration testing and observations associated with the annual PCI and HIPAA assessment
  • Manage a team of 2 cyber security professionals supporting PCI & HIPAA compliance activities


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


•     5+ years of experience in IT risk/security, audit or compliance

•     Working knowledge of PCI and HIPAA frameworks

•     Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills

•     Effective project management skills to execute multiple separate work streams at one time

•     Bachelor’s Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field



•    PCI ISA or QSA designation

  • Prefer experience with industry risk and control standards (ISO, NIST, COBIT, etc.)
  • CISM, CISA, CRISC and/or CISSP certification is preferred
  • Three plus years of management experience with direct reports
