Role Value Proposition: 

This role provides resiliency (Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Exercising & Testing) tool support for global operations and coordination.  Develops and implements templates and enterprise tools to facilitate the execution of Business Impact Analysis, recovery planning, testing, and exercising.  Guides key employees on use of tools and templates in the execution of resiliency plans.  Responsible for overseeing resiliency tools access and permissions, leading integration of data feeds, system configurations, and overall relational database support for resiliency tools. Additionally, this role will be the primary liaison to application developers and vendors for Global Resiliency tool support.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong customer / stakeholder/ vendor relationships. Apply understanding of stakeholders (i.e. leverage best practices, advocate client position) to optimize business resiliency efforts.
  • Maintain and update tool to support Global Resiliency methodology, policy, and standards to ensure that they align to MetLife’s global objectives and strategy.  Monitor and incorporate tool improvements.
  • Act as the central point of contact for tool support for Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Exercising & Testing related areas.  Responsible for tool configuration to support global management reporting and metrics on the state of organizational resiliency.
  • Champion and manage the effective use of MetLife’s portfolio of tools to support Global Resiliency.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • Ability to consolidate, analyze and connect disparate data points in a logical manner to produce a comprehensive model of the bigger picture.
  • Develop basic scripts to analyze and automate repeatable processes (i.e. Python, Perl, Ruby, or PowerShell).
  • Administer business continuity management tools to include notification systems.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure and network interfaces.



  • Experience with managing SQL databases, user permissions, data feeds, and providing enterprise tool support.
  • 2+ years’ experience with Program Management or Business Continuity planning in a global enterprise.



  • BA/BS degree or equivalent with 2+ years related experience or a MS/MA/MBA.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and foster client relationships.
  • Professional Certification such as CBCI, CBCP, ABCP or other relevant industry certification preferred.
