Role Value Proposition:     

The Oracle Business Intelligence Lead Developer will design, develop and maintain Human Resources data warehouse reporting solutions in an Oracle BI PaaS environment. MetLife employees throughout the globe use this environment to satisfy workforce, recruitment, talent and succession planning reporting requirements. The Lead Developer will work directly with the project lead, the HR business lead and off-shore ODI developers to fulfill these responsibilities. The Lead Developer will report to a Director in the Global Technology organization.



Key Responsibilities:  


  • Participates in requirements definition, solution development, implementation, and maintenance activities in support of this data warehouse.
  • Participates in the overall development process via architecture guidance, design, development, code reviews, work estimation, and planning assistance.
  • Creates and maintains ETL specifications and process documentation to produce the required data deliverables (data profiling, source to target maps, ETL flows).
  • Defines logical and physical data models.
  • Creates and maintains physical layer, business layer and presentation layer RPD models.
  • Assigns ETL work and tracks progress of off-shore ODI developers.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves data, system and performance issues.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:



  • Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) lead designer and developer with a minimum of three years of experience in this role.
  • Experience working with HR Analytics Oracle BI Application 11g.
  • Oracle Business Intelligence RPD lead designer and developer with a minimum of three years of experience in this role.
  • Dimensional modeling skills with three years of experience.
  • Minimum three years of experience developing data warehouse solutions for Human Resources, especially Workforce and Recruitment but also Talent and Succession Planning.
  • Ability to translate functional requirements into technical specifications and executable deliverables.
  • Minimum one year experience managing off-shore ODI developers, estimating work duration and reporting status.
  • This is not a report or dashboard development role however extensive knowledge in creating reports and dashboards is required.  Experience with Oracle Data Visualizer is a plus.
  • BS degree



  • One year of experience working in an Oracle Managed Cloud Services (OMCS) environment.
  • Skill in optimizing data loads and reporting efficiency through the use of appropriate ODI, DDL and RPD designs preferably in an Oracle database environment.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP applications.
