MetLife’s Employee Experience organization is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Software Developer to work as a member of our strategic Integration product team. The Employee Experience organization enables a diverse portfolio of products (Enterprise Data Lake, Progressive Web Applications, Data Science, Data Analytics and Data Reporting). This is an exciting opportunity to enable Digital Transformation through Cloud Acceleration by working hands-on with APIs, Microservices and Event Based Architectures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participates in the collection and documentation of user requirements as well as engage in the development of user stories and estimates into technology solutions features in collaboration with Product Owner
  • Participate in the detailed technical design and development of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms. Partner with Product owner in planning. Responsible for front & back-end development.
  • Participate in peer reviews of solution designs and related code for complex features
  • Investigate and resolve production management incidents, problems, and service requests. Manages prioritization of problems, incidents, and service requests with Product Owner
  • Participate team in production support activities of complex nature and/or Product
  • Maintain awareness of trends and issues in area of technical expertise, evaluate new technologies or technology opportunities, and provide analysis of their potential impact to champion the customer
  • Full Stack Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience with modern JavaScript framework, C#, .NET Core, jQuery, CSS, and HTML5
  • 2+ years’ experience working with technical projects that encompass distributed systems and cloud platforms

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • Experience developing Web APIs and Micro Services
  • Experience writing .NET CORE 3.1+ (Web API, Data Access, Dependency Injection, etc)
  • Experience with relational data models and writing SQL queries, statements, etc
  • Experience with writing and maintaining xUnit Unit tests
  • Experience with AzDO and Agile SAFe methodology

 

Preferred:

  • Experience with Progressive Web Applications
  • Experience with Ionic Framework
  • Experience with Angular JS
  • Experience with JQuery
  • Experience with Node
  • Experience React Framework
  • Experience with Container and Container orchestration platforms such as Docker or Kubernetes
  • Educational Requirements: BA/BS in Comp Science/IS - Preferred

The wage range for this position specific to Colorado is ($93,800 - $117,300).  The role is eligible for incentive compensation under the MetLife Annual Variable Incentive Plan ("AVIP").  Your eligibility for and award of incentives are governed by the terms of the plan.
