The MWB IT is looking for an energetic and motivated Software Engineer II who is forward-focused, not afraid of experimentation, and a team player. In this role, you will be working with applications with a lot of potential.  This is $100m business looking to grow. Looking for a opportunity to move a 25 year old set of applications into the  22nd century technology, this one is for you.  You will have to collaborate with partners to deliver on enterprise-level strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, implement and maintain the MWB suite of applications using distributed based technologies including leading a team of developers working in an onshore-offshore model.  Write/update the technical and system documentation explaining in detail the changes and there impact.   Prepare test scenarios, test cases, test data, execute the testing, and document the results following the standard project processes.

Collaborate with:

  • Development team members (including offshore consultants) in designing, developing, and testing the system modification.
  • Business teams / Product Owners in requirement gathering and acquiring system knowledge to deliver better software
  • Partnering applications in understanding, designing and agreeing to the interface requirements
  • Project leads and program leads to deliver strategic initiatives with the highest quality.

Support Integration, End to End, and User Acceptance Testing at the overall project or program level.

Be innovative and always ready to learn new skills.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 1 to 2+ years of hands-on distributed application development experience
  • Proficiency working in java frameworks such as Spring, and RESTful API services.
  • Proficiency with various database technologies and solutions
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot and debug both online and batch.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and be able to work in an open, collaborative environment to support both individual and team objectives.
  • Experience working in an onshore-offshore model and should be able to mentor, guide, and lead a small offshore team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.










  • Must be a passionate, driven individual, capable of interacting with the business and managing development execution while contributing hands-on coding and debugging
  • Experience coding and testing web services using Postman
  • Experience with Cobol and Maestro scheduler
  • Design experience utilizing Use Cases, Features, and User Stories
  • Experience working in an Agile/DevOps environment
  • Experience working with offshore software development and third-party vendors
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure tools
  • Container-based development leveraging Docker and/or Kubernetes

The wage range for applicants for this position is [the more specific figure (for example (only): $80,000) or range within which the hiring manager reasonably expects to hire (for example (only): $70,000 - $85,000)]. The role is eligible for incentive compensation under the sales incentive plan for your position.
