Location: Cary, NC - Hybrid work arrangement. (In office 3 days per week. Remote 2 days per week.) 


Key Responsibilities:

  • A focus on business solution alignment, from requirements gathering technical architecture, testing and system deployments typically around integration, data conversion, reporting and fast formulas.
  • Hands-on formulation of business and technical requirements to set the direction for corresponding and complimentary solution delivery aligned to business goals and value acquisition.
  • Apply technical knowledge and expertise, working in collaboration with functional consulting staff on HR engagement teams, in the implementation of business-aligned/driven Oracle HCM Cloud solutions.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills: ­­ 



  • Minimum of two (2) years of Oracle HCM cloud or equivalent implementation experience, with a strong preference of hands-on experience with one or more of the HCM modules: Core HR, Talent Management, Performance management, Compensation, Benefits, Time and Labor, Payroll. Previous related industry and consulting experience in competing product sets may be entertained (Oracle EBS, PeopleSoft, Workday, etc.)



  • Hands-on experience with HCM Data Loader (HDL), Fast Formulas, HCM Extracts, BI Publisher
  • Configure Oracle HCM to generate outbound interface files destined for other systems and third party vendors; integrate inbound third-party and web-based applications/files.
  • Utilize fast formulas and other Oracle HCM design tools as well as SQL, Excel and other Microsoft tools for data analysis and reporting as well as proprietary reporting tools integrated in HR systems and related business applications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, human resources or related field.
  • Experience with Java, XML, Service Oriented Architecture (Oracle SOA Suite), Business Intelligence (OBIEE) is preferable.
  • Excellent analysis skills and the ability to develop processes and methodologies
  • Demonstrated analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication skills, and highly developed Microsoft Suite skills (Word, Excel) required
  • Ability to engage effectively at the business and technical level, provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning in order to stay current regarding applicable strategies, see the "big picture" as well as the details, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of projects
  • Configure Oracle HCM to customize and enhance the system to achieve identified business results and resolve issues.
  • Serve as subject matter expert and provide system consulting regarding Oracle HCM. Identify opportunities and make recommendations to the business for maximizing system features, functionality, and interfaces with other applications and vendors.
  • Facilitate meetings with HR leadership, other business leaders, and/or HRIS peers to capture requirements, determine system goals, and understand the business issue to be solved; design, develop, and build solutions that provide resolution using HCM. Identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
  • Manage and implement system releases and updates; identify any negative potential outcomes in advance of the system updates and provide solutions to mitigate them.
  • Perform system configurations, evaluate workflow to streamline and automate; design, build, and test system configurations, scripts and other tools in the test environment; document detailed test plans and test cases; promote changes to the production environment.
  • Manage test environments and user acceptance testing, tracking progress and project managing the testing.
  • Work with third-party technical support teams and vendor account managers to troubleshoot and escalate any file integration issues identified.
  • Recommend technical design solutions and document the technical design requirements, including any security design considerations or solutions.
  • Create test plans and conduct testing sessions with system users.
  • Perform data validation and analysis of system work products to ensure accuracy, research to identify and resolve root cause of any systems related issues.
  • Apply data governance principles in ensuring data quality, integrity and timeliness are maintained.
  • Ensure data integrity and solution compliance with non-public personal information (NPPI) protection and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Develop end user documentation, including application training manuals and job aids.
  • Assist HRIS team members as needed.
