Position:  Software Development Engineer II (Cary, North Carolina)

 

Duties: Design and develop security patterns using Java/J2EE, spring, Identity and Access Management, and Rest/SOAP Web Services application. Perform multi-stage build plans, set up triggers to start builds upon commits, and assign agents to your critical builds and deployments that integrate the Continuous Integration/DevOps build process tools such as Cruise Control and Atlassian Dev Ops tools. Create and maintain data modelling, normalization and performance tuning of applications and database design. Migrating and upgrading frameworks like struts, spring, hibernate etc. Identifying common risks associated with web applications including client side injection, sensitive data handling, network transition, application patching, web based attacks, phishing, third-party code, location security and privacy and denial of service. Design and implement complex integration solutions globally through collaboration with engineers, architects, application teams and provide guidance in secure code development, digital authentication, Out-Of-Band technologies and web services integration. Provide support to the business IT environment, by providing security architecture design, roadmap for highly secure applications and data delivery. Advise application owners on the technology possibilities and requirements. Work closely with client departments in development and implementation of application programs having impact on improving the business. Apply domain knowledge on applications catering to the various modules of insurance like new business, policy servicing, claims management, underwriting, reinsurance and Finance. Prepare design documentation on requirement using Unified Modeling Language (Use Case and Activity Diagrams) also building business Process Flow Charts using tools such as Visio and Rose.

 

Requirements: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Systems or Engineering (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience developing J2EE based web application including Struts, Spring, Hibernate, Soap/Rest Web Services and server technologies including Tomcat, Jboss, WebLogic and WebSphere Application Server. Specific skills/other requirements: performing object oriented development, including implementing and maintaining web and distributed Enterprise applications, using Java/J2EE technologies (5 years); analyzing, designing, developing, integrating, deploying and maintaining Web services, Client Server and Web based applications using J2EE/Java, JSP, JavaScript, Servlets, EJB, JMS, XML, XSL, XSLT, Oracle and SQL (5 years); performing all phases of the Waterfall or Agile software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, implementation, deployment and support (5 years); designing applications and Object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD) architecture modeling using Java and J2EE Design Patterns, including Creational, Structural or Behavioral design patterns (4 years); developing Web Services using SOAP, REST and WSDL and developing DTDs and XSD schemas for XML, including parsing, processing and design (4 years); and performing data modelling, normalization and performance tuning of applications and database design (3 years).
