Role Value Proposition: 

This role is an individual contributor-level technical and thought leader on the AMS Test Engineering team responsible for evaluating, recommending, piloting and supporting implementation of Test Data Management and BI/DW testing tools to support the QA, AD and Business teams. This role is accountable for implementing and continually refreshing our TDM-BI/DW strategic tool roadmap to align to MetLife’s goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall strategy for Test Data Management tool
  • Architect the overall TDM solution and develop the TDM roadmap for the Enterprise
  • Support  the TDM strategy including Governance, processes, estimation and frameworks 
  • Understand and analyze the current TDM processes including, test data acquisition process, team alignment, portfolio release plan
  • Understand, analyze and recommend procedure for data masking, data sub-setting, data generation
  • Demonstrate  expertise in one or more of the Industry standard TDM tools - Informatica TDM, CA TDM, Delphix, IBM Optim, Oracle
  • Ability to analyze and understand data flows across applications and data dependencies
  • Provide assistance to the project teams in conforming to the standardized processes
  • Should have experience of working in test data management projects handling end to end test data requirements
  • Works with AD teams to determine how to build and enhance applications to maximize testability and ensure application stability (technical and strategic)
  • Automation/scripting skills are also required for creating automation suite for fulfilling test data needs.
  • Firm Knowledge of DWH, BI and Database concepts
  • Advanced expertise with
    • SQL Queries
    • Stored Procedures (ability to read/understand, not develop)
    • DB and SQL editors (i.e. Toad)
    • Test Automation
  • Provides consulting services to project teams and management on implementation of test data management, tools and techniques.
  • Provides expertise to less experienced staff and colleagues on other teams
  • Interacts with vendor consultants to identify and implement solutions for optimizing operating efficiency of production systems and processes

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

 

Required:

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field, or equivalent work experience
  • •7+ years broad experience in Information Technologies
  • •Experience with Test Data Management concepts and methodology and Experience with Big Data Testing concepts and methodology
  • •Good knowledge of current industry wide quality & test processes and practices, tools and techniques - their applicability and impact.
  • •Software Analysis & Design knowledge/experience is needed while also having a solid background in Software Quality & Testing.
  • •Experience with Test Data Management Tools such as CA TDM, Delphix, Informatica, IBM Optim, Double

 

Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or another related field preferred
  • Experience with tool evaluations and integrations
  • Extensive technical skills covering products and technologies knowledge. Sound knowledge of automation, non-functional testing, data and environment management is essential. Strong hands on expertise for automation and few other streams is desired
  • Experience with Big Data Testing Tools such as Tricentis Tosca BI, QuerySurge, Talend, Informatica or TestingWhiz
