Role Value Proposition:

MetLife is seeking an IT Senior Project Lead to perform project/program management functions for the Regional Application Development (RAD) Organization supporting US business. As part of this team, you will partner to lead the planning and implementation of IT projects. In this role you can be part of a team focused on innovation, collaboration and transformation to drive business success.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for project management execution including but not limited to estimating and managing project's costs and resources.
  • Identifying and managing project's risks and issues; while monitoring progress of all key project work streams, deliverables and outcomes. Works closely with technical teams to develop and track release milestones and schedules.
  • Creation and maintenance of detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
  • Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project status. Identifies and coordinates heavy interdependencies to ensure timing and alignment of releases, hardware, and resources.
  • Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project. Follow governance and security requirements to meet compliance for the SDLC processes.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:



  • PMP/PgMP certified
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands on project management and execution experience delivering complex software projects working with Waterfall and Agile methodologies.  
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills, understands what it takes to deliver software with exposure to large-scale systems
  • Familiar with a variety of the IT concepts, practices, and procedures.  Excellent track record for managing resolution of problems under pressure/time constraints
  • Experienced with leading offshore teams and/or vendors.



• Software Development experience

• Portfolio Management tools (Clarity, JIRA, etc.)

• Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
