This hands-on position requires strong collaboration skills to work with cross functional teams to ensure the design of technology solutions complies with MetLife’s information security policies, and regulatory obligations. The candidate will have the ability to identify, remediate, document, and implement solutions for security tools. Working to remediate end user challenges and implementing user requests related to Metlife security tools. Must have the ability to take on new challenges while providing a strong communication between internal and external teams and users while maintaining a safe security posture which aligns with best practices for the industry and Metlife as a whole.

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Assist with the implementation, support, and health of endpoint security solutions to enhance MetLife’s endpoint security posture. 
  • Provide operational support for MetLife’s endpoint protection security tool stack requirements.  This includes but is not limited to security tool health, agent remediation, saturation, and version control on a global scale. 
  • Provide operational support, deployment coordination, change management, and documentation of new and existing data security technologies. 
  • Work effectively with other Information Security teams and outsourcing providers globally to ensure technology security solutions are in alignment with organizational strategic goals. 
  • Create\Follow documentation to ensure appropriate operational process and procedures are followed in the event of business impacting incidents or issues. 

 

  

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills: 

 

Required: 

  • 3+ years of IT Security Operations experience working in an enterprise infrastructure or security architecture environment. 
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in one or more of the following security technologies:  
  • Data Loss Prevention and Data Classification – such as Mcafee, Symantec, Forcepoint, Zscaler, Imperva, Microsoft Information Protection 
  • Database Security – such as Guardium, McAfee, Imperva
  • Endpoint Protection Platforms – such as Tanium, Crowdstrike, Windows FW, zScaler
  • 3+ years of troubleshooting and investigating IT issues.  Experience working with change management controls. Supporting end users challenges in a timely and professional manner.
  • 1 – 3 years of experience working with applications enabled in the cloud, mobile devices, web, and network. 

 

Preferred: 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, major in Computer Science, Information Systems or 2+ years of related equivalent work experience in lieu of degree is acceptable 
  • Experience within the endpoint environment, including both workstations and servers and associated operating systems. 
  • Knowledge of modern enterprise and security architectures, their challenges, common approaches to overcome their challenges, and their inherent security strengths and weaknesses. 
  • Professional certifications such as: CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC, CGEIT, CRISC, CEH, or other relevant industry certification and/or desire to obtain such certifications. 
  • Exposure to tools such as Wireshark, Snort, Bro/Zeek, Putty, Kali, Security Onion, Metasploit, CyberArk, Service Now, CrowdStrike, zScaler
  • Experience with Tanium security client
  • Skills with scripting languages such as Powershell, Python, VBScript, and Bash. 
  • Experience supporting a global environment extending across multiple countries and time zones.
  • Self-Motivated individual who has a passion for troubleshooting investigations to identify ongoing trends and work towards enabling proactive support for ongoing and future challenges.
