Key Responsibilities:

Research, evaluate, design, engineer and implement MetLife’s enterprise middleware integration platforms and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and flexibility. Promote and utilize automation to design and support configuration management, orchestration, and maintenance of the integration platforms. Plan, evaluate, recommend and provide well documented instructions and scripts to operations engineers for the implementation and support of platform currency (version upgrades). Provide subject matter expertise across multiple integration technologies, including IBM Integration Bus (IIB), WebSphere Message Queue (WMQ), Cast Iron, API Connect, and WebSphere Transformation Extender (WTX). Provide technical support to application developers and operations support staff and offer innovative solutions to enhance platform stability, usability and cost effectiveness to ensure standardization across applications. Design and implement complex integration solutions globally through collaboration with engineers, architects, and application teams.

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology (willing to accept foreign education equivalent, including 3-year degree) plus five (5) years of experience providing support for different technologies, including on-call support and SDLC support.  Specific skills/other requirements (quantitative experience requirement not applicable to this section unless otherwise stated) -- must possess the following: developing solutions to automate configuration management and maintenance of infrastructure platforms using Bash, or other scripting tools and BladeLogic Orchestration (2 years); planning, implementing, supporting and managing Cloud solutions and technologies, using AIX, Windows, Linux, and/or Solaris (2 years); configuring SSL security and certificates for WMB and WebMethods to generate and implement certificates as well as renewal and troubleshooting; installing, configuring and managing technologies, including WebMethods, IBM MQSeries, and WebSphere Message Broker; designing solutions and implementing integration infrastructure on Linux or AIX platforms, using at least two of the following: WMQ, IIB, Cast Iron, WTX, WebMethods or API Connect; and designing and developing automation or scripting using Shell, Perl, PowerShell, Python, or Java.
