Role Value Proposition: 

The Business Planning Governance Lead is responsible for leading and supporting the business activities of the Global Information Security practice. This position seeks a highly self-motivated, ambitious, and energetic individual, who will support global chief information security officer (CISO)-level initiatives and demonstrates a high capacity to understand the complex needs of our department and can independently execute on them.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of the information security metrics reporting strategy, program definition, service, and SLA definition; drive daily operations and ensure quality assurance techniques are built into metrics program
  • Impacts the strategic direction of the global information security organization by presenting ideas and rationale based on depth of business and process knowledge and owns process improvement initiatives with the goal to increase stability, scale, speed, and security throughout global information security
  • Interprets, implements, and supports CISO-level global security governance processes by demonstrating effective organizational, analytical, and influencing skills to meet the overall goal of driving global information security business management and operational activities
  • Collects and analyzes qualitative and quantitative information, and develops measurements of success and global CISO metrics for Board-level, Executive Leadership, Senior Management and Operational metrics
  • Work with various teams to identify metrics that align with the NIST CSF, automate the process for pulling data out of security tools and ensure quality assurance reviews of the data are being performed on a periodic basis
  • Meet regularly with stakeholders/VP to review metrics scorecards
  • Prepares results to be presented to leadership at various levels – such as senior leadership, executive leadership, and Board of Directors
  • Handle information and processes that require strictly confidential treatment

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


  • 5+ years of experience in working with mid-level and senior executives (Vice President and above)
  • 5+ years of experience developing information security presentations for executive level consumption
  • Process-efficiency mindset with customer-centric orientation focused on anticipating and meeting internal partner and external customer needs
  • Data-driven mindset with expertise to develop metrics and measurements of success that will inform the management of both current progress as well as areas of improvements. Additionally, these would aid in developing presentations for audiences at various levels of management using tools such as MS PowerPoint.
  • Strong capacity to manage own performance independently and effectively, exhibiting excellent time management, strong organization, and detail orientation.
  • Self-starter with super inter-personal skills and the ability to independently anticipate needs, look ahead, plan for contingencies, manage concurrent tasks, prioritize tasks, follow-up, and flexible in moving between competing priorities as needed/directed
  • Prior experience with organization change-management and managing large/complex programs
  • Prior experience and knowledge of Information Security functions and concepts
  • Prior experience working with data computation and visualization tools (Power BI, MS Excel, Qlik, etc.) would be a plus


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or business field
  • Big 4 consulting experience highly desired
  • Applied experience in analysis and reporting
  • Certification in one or more areas:  CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, PMP
