Application Maintenance and Support (AMS) has an opportunity specifically supporting the Group Benefits business. This position is focused on building and maintaining relationships with business and technology teams to understand business priorities and ensure delivery of solutions to meet expectations, while intercepting interference from other teams and addressing valid concerns.



Key Responsibilities: 


  • Understand stakeholders’ needs and set expectations for deliverables
  • Gathers facts on impact and urgency  from the  business to set priorities from the backlog with technology teams
  • Gathers and analyzes metrics around system performance to identify opportunities to reverse negative trends.
  • Represent the AMS organization to business as a clear, consistent source of trustworthy information, exhibiting transparency and resourcefulness.
  • Interacts  internally and externally to support  issue resolution
  • Supports cross-functional teams on new initiatives
  • Ensures compliance with operational support models.  
  • Assists in mitigating impediments and conflict resolution



Essential Business Experience and Technology Skills:



  • 3-5+ years of working experience with strong verbal & written communication skills, basic presentation skills, the ability to build and maintain strong relationship with stakeholders and influencing and negotiation skills
  • Individuals who are self-motivated and take initiative who are comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical thinking and end-to-end problem-solving skills
  • Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience
  • Finance/Insurance industry experience and experience working in Agile frameworks like Scrum and Kanban with experience working with offshore delivery partners and third-party vendor



  • SP, SSM, CSM, PO/PM Certification
  • Understanding and experience in ITIL framework
  • Understanding of DevOps principles
  • Service Now and Jira Experience
  • Experience with application development or application maintenance
