There will be 2 FTEs that lead/work with this primarily offshore FTC team of 18 – the Production Management Specialist and a Production Management Consultant (this role).  The holistic team will be responsible for newly defined “L1” activities across ~130 EAI codes that align to ~30 Products within the following Business Areas:  Audit, Compliance (Financial and Non-Financial Risk Management), Corporate Security, Financial Management Group (Actuarial, Corporate Accounting & Reporting, Treasury, Reinsurance, Procurement, and Tax), HR, Legal, and Real Estate. 

 

In addition to “L1” activities, this role will assist in coordination with the product teams and other areas outside of Corporate Systems, analyzing and publishing performance metrics – including SLAs defined in TCS Work Order, and other items as this area is established. 

 

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • In 2022 Only – Help lead the shared services transition from incumbent supplier to new supplier
  • Responsible for day-to-day oversight of shared services team (primarily offshore); work with Production Management Specialist to divide workload
  • Partner with Product teams to provide prioritization directions
  • Leverage technical and/or business knowledge in leading escalated issues to resolution
  • Leverage metrics and monitoring tools to identify trends and prevent production incidents
  • Interact with vendor consultants to identify and implement solutions for optimizing operating efficiency of production systems and processes
  • Perform related duties as assigned or requested

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills: ­­ 

 

Required:

  • 4-7 years Platform Support experience, or comparable business and technical experience, with System Development Life Cycle knowledge and experience, or comparable methodologies.
  • Ability to quickly understand the Business context of the Platform as well as the overall technical architecture.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite of Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio or other workflow/routing design tools).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail, as well as professionalism and time/task management skills; ability to establish strong working relationships.
  • Ability to collaborate in a matrixed environment to achieve a shared goal
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering or other related field, or equivalent demonstrated work experience.

 

Preferred:

  • Experience with ServiceNow, AppD Splunk, and other MetLife monitoring tools
  • Experience with working in an Agile Delivery Model (ADM)
  • Knowledge of SAFe framework, DevOps/Lean
  • Experience with Agile management tools like Azure DevOps (AzDO).
  • Experience in working with global teams (offshore and onshore)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, dynamic environment
  • Highly focused and detailed oriented

The wage range for applicants for this position is $72,500 to $126,600. This role is also eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. MetLife offers a comprehensive benefits program, including health benefits, life insurance, retirement benefits, parental leave, legal plan services and paid time off.
