Principal IT Costing Expense Management

This enables the Business to make effective strategic decisions that maximize its return on its IT investments.  The IT Costing PMO Director serves an integral part of aligning strategy to daily operational goals by partnering with the Senior Leadership, Project managers, engineers, business analyst and developers to manage and analyze the Global Technology and Operations (GTO). 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works closely on the annual planning process and ensure that expense budgets are in line with management and business requirements. 
  • Leads transformation initiatives, leveraging best practices for automation, Agile best practices, with a focus on enabling better effective strategic decisions.
  • Prepares monthly reporting package for senior level manager and their staff. 
  • Participates in the monthly manager staff meetings to review forecast, actuals and actionable financial leverages
  • Develop financial models and analyses to support cost saving/growth of the business & strategic initiatives.
  • Analyzes spending trends to ensure proper spend.  Provides Finance with accurate forecasts.  Collects, consolidates and analyzes materials as necessary to facilitate decision making related to the program and IT service investments.
  • Supports IT TSAs, divestures and large Tech programs, ensuring proper financial forecasts, accruals, executive reporting
  • Provides guidance and coaching to lower-level associates.

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or other related fields or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of broad financial experience, including financial management processes, FP&A and best practices such as budgeting, cost allocations, capital and operating expense handling
  • Comfortable leading the most technical and complex tasks relative to IT financials
  • Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
  • Comfort dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently
  • Experience working with, and presenting to, senior executives
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; be comfortable interacting with executive-level management
  • Strong financial modeling experience

`Preferred:

  • MBA or CPA
  • Apptio experience
  • SAFe/Agile Exposure
