Role Value Proposition: 

As a Principal Architect in Enterprise Domain Architecture, you will be a senior member and leader in a dedicated team, providing technical expertise and domain architecture services for technology projects around the globe. You will have the opportunity to drive innovative solutions using cutting-edge technologies, and you will have the responsibility to define architectural patterns with security, resilience, and performance in mind.


The Principal Architect must have deep subject matter expertise in at least one primary architectural domain, with extensive experience and knowledge across modern IT technologies. The successful candidate must have demonstrated experience in defining robust architectural patterns, as well as the ability to document and communicate them to ensure adoption. This role also must lead and mentor other architects in support of the domain areas they represent.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Domain expertise in Data, Digital Platforms, Operational Architecture, and Cloud Technologies, with deep subject matter expertise in at least one
  • Responsible for creating, analyzing, and communicating technology standards, reference architectures, application design patterns, and other technical guidance 
  • Work closely with software engineers, security professionals, infrastructure engineers, and other Enterprise Architects in developing and utilizing Domain Architecture guidance
  • Leads and mentors other architects in the successful execution of their architecture responsibilities
  • Leads or participates on matrix team projects as assigned. 


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering or related field
  • 7+ years’ experience in Software Engineering or Architecture and deep subject matter expertise in at least one primary architecture domain
    • Broad experience and knowledge across a modern IT landscape in an Enterprise environment
    • 2+ years knowledge with Cloud Computing platforms with preferred experience in Azure
    • Demonstrated expertise in security, operational, and resiliency architecture principles
    • Must be an intelligent, articulate, and influential leader who can effectively communicate technology-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff
    • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to apply analysis to actionable insights


  • Demonstrated influencing and negotiating skills
  • Strong Software Development Life Cycle knowledge and experience, particularly Agile and DevOps
  • Demonstrated business acumen especially in insurance and financial industries and systems
  • Experience delivering global programs/strategies to diverse business and IT teams
