Role Value Proposition: 

The PMO Financial Consultant serves an integral part of aligning strategy to daily operational goals by partnering with the project managers, engineers, business analyst and developers to manage and analyze the Global Technology and Operations (GTO) IT portfolio. This role will serve as a Portfolio Financial Consultant with focus as it relates to, IT financial management, portfolio setup, monthly reporting, and forecast.  The PMO Financial Consultant will interact with a large, diverse program team including senior management and will report out on any significant changes within the portfolio(s) in which the consultant supports.

    

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with application development teams to complete monthly forecasts, review actuals, and submit month accruals. Ensure all financial and operational inputs are appropriately accounted for in the proper periods and that budgets/forecasts reflect the most accurate information available.
  • Build strong relationships with GTO internal and external partner organizations to help drive change and efficiency.
  • Provide clear communication, training, and guidance to business partners to facilitate accuracy and consistency in portfolio management practices.
  • Design, develop, manage and deliver customized reporting requests and dashboards
  • Create queries to provide ad hoc reports, analysis, and datasets based on business needs

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • 5+ years of financial experience, including budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities, as well as experience managing complex budgets and P&L analysis; experience supporting an IT organization
  • Bachelors required, major in Business Administration or Finance or similar strongly preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills along with strong financial systems and business application knowledge
  • Excellent data organization, detailed analytical and interpretation skills
  • Adept at juggling competing priorities, delivering on time results, honoring commitments, and demonstrating ownership / accountability for financial performance
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency across multiple stakeholders
  • Highly effective communication standards through oral, written, and presentation mediums

Preferred:

  • PMP Certification
