Financial Analyst - Expense Management

The Financial Analyst within the Global Technology Services IT Costing Expense Management team serves an integral part of aligning strategy to daily operational goals by partnering with the Senior Leadership, Project Managers, Engineers, Business Analysts and Financial Analysts to manage and analyze the Global Technology and Operations (GTO) Hardware and Software expense base. This role will serve as a subject matter expert with focus as it relates to IT Hardware and Software, IT financial management, Hardware Depreciation and Maintenance, Hardware capacity utilization, Software Licensing and Maintenance while building and encouraging strong relationships with finance and project management teams.

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Manages across Infrastructure expense commodities in excess of $160M with a core focus on Hardware Depreciation, Maintenance and Software Licensing
  • Responsible for monthly forecasting and budgeting of expense across the Global Infrastructure organization
  • Assist approval and financial disposition analysis for newly executed commodity expense
  • Lead in driving the financial analysis and strategic and tactical decision making while providing monthly variance drivers to the departmental CFO
  • Drives in-depth analysis of respective commodity areas to drive cost savings, and highlight risks and opportunities related to IT expenses
  • Leads the effort to normalize and cleanse data within the asset management systems
  • Ability to build strong relationships with GTO internal and external partner organizations to help drive change and efficiency within your respective commodities

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • 7-10 years of finance and expense management related experience
  • Experience in IT Hardware and Software accounting/commodity expense
  • Bachelors in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Advanced Excel and MS Office skills

 

Preferred:

  • Apptio IT Planning Foundations experience
  • Ariba p2p experience
  • GAAP accounting familiarity
