The role of Network Analyst (Change Supervisor) is a critical function within the Global Network Operations organization and is focused on ensuring that all network infrastructure changes are fully documented, understood, and evaluated a manner that ensures the highest rate of success. 

    

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Assists technical staff with proper ticket creation and guidance with Change Management processes.

  • Ensures that all network related change request tickets are properly filled out and in line with MetLife’s ticket hygiene standards.

  • Communicates frequently with members of the technical staff to fully assess and understand the risks associated with changes, and ensures that the correct risk levels adhered to by ticket owners.

  • Attends all required daily and weekly Change Management meetings.

  • Coordinates all network related change tickets at regularly scheduled meetings and ensures that technical representation is available to address questions.

  • Escalates emergency changes in a manner that ensure timely implementation.

  • Schedules changes in a manner that prevents collisions and conflicts within the network environment.

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

 

Required:

  • Undergraduate degree – Business or IT field.

  • 5+ years of relevant business experience in a fast-paced IT environment.

  • Fair understanding of computer systems and networking.

  • Knowledge of ITIL Change Management process or equivalent framework.

  • Experience and comfort level with common Change Management tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, StarTeam, Service Anywhere, etc).

  • Competencies: Interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, sound business judgment, computer skills, ability to influence, analytical, and organizational skills.

  • Has excellent working knowledge of IT metrics, key performance indicators, and performance measures.

  • Solid understanding of IT organizations and how internal technology organizations work together.

 

 

Preferred:

  • MBA or other advanced degree.

  • Expert knowledge of ITIL Change Management processes or ITIL Certification.

  • Expert knowledge of Service Now and/or Clarity (reporting).

  • Networking Certifications such as CCNA or CCNP
