Responsible for assisting project manager with strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities. Excellent interpersonal skills are crucial. Understanding of technical issues and financial applications. Must also be acutely aware of the latest technology and how best to leverage its capabilities.  RDBMS knowledge is a must.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Ability to scope the systems, own the requirements processes, interpret business needs, translate technical issues, assist with the development of project details and support test and validation. Must have extensive knowledge of RDBMS such as Oracle, MSSQL, Big Data, etc.

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • Discovering the underlying business need to be addressed and information related to the project requirements
  • Analyzing organizing, and specifying requirements to ensure they are complete and unambiguous.
  • Experience with data storage, Data Element Dictionaries and Data Models
  • Knowledge of General Ledger highly desirable

  • Understand Database Configuration, tuning,  performance optimization and enhancement

  • Able to understand Server activities at a lower level for both, OS and RDBMS
  • Understand database structural requirements by analyzing client operations, applications, and programming;
  • Able to review objectives with clients; evaluating current systems and provide guidance
  • Documenting the requirements in a format that can be shared with management
  • Ensuring the requirements map to the real business need and they meet essential quality standards.
  • Working independently and able to manage large scale projects

  • Identifies resources needed, assembles project team, assigns individual responsibilities

  • Communicates with Project Management counterparts, customers and project stakeholders to ensure continuing alignment with project objectives

  • Manages assigned resources to ensure on- time completion of planned tasks

  • Identifies and mitigates issues and risks.

  • Works with various areas of the organization within and outside the IT organization including clients, project members, management, vendors, and other LOB’s.

  • Maintains scope, cost and schedule of projects through management of the project or sub-project team and interaction with the Project Sponsor.

  • Serves as a role model by demonstrating commitment to commonly adopted processes and standards for project management
