Role Value Proposition

The Enterprise Monitoring team in the Observability & Reliability organization is responsible for delivery of a global Observability strategy and for selection of tools that align to this strategy, enabling performance, analytics and monitoring services that provide actionable and predictive insight into the health of the IT ecosystem.

 

We are seeking a Team Lead to join a diverse, highly visible team with responsibility for Infrastructure, Application, Network, Digital Experience, Container, and Log monitoring platforms.  The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and 5+ years of monitoring experience at enterprise scale.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise to influence monitoring strategy and architecture decisions.
  • Act as Team Lead, providing guidance and assistance to other team members.
  • Design and deploy monitoring systems based on user requirements.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and remediate complex issues with monitoring platforms.

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills

Required:

  • Deep technical understanding of Observability and Monitoring concepts.
  • Experience deploying and maintaining enterprise-grade monitoring platforms.
  • Awareness of recent industry trends related to Observability & Monitoring.
  • Exposure to Open Telemetry and Distributed Tracing.
  • Experience with AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Datadog, or similar APM platforms.
  • Experience with Splunk, Elastic, Loki, or similar Logging platforms.
  • Exposure to a wide variety of technologies used in modern applications and data centers.
  • Ability to investigate complex technical issues to determine root cause and remediate.
  • Experience working with customers and awareness of stakeholder business needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to function as a member of a team.

 

 

Preferred:

  • Strong written and presentation skills.
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps concepts.
  • Experience with Azure Monitor & Log Insights.
  • Familiarity with IT Automation frameworks.
  • Familiarity with IT Event Management toolsets.
