Role Value Proposition: 

 

IT LEAD Consultant – Risk, Audit, Security and Application Inventory Management will:

  • Manage processes for communicating, tracking and resolving outstanding risks, security scans, audit findings, and business continuity plans.     

  • Develop executive reporting processes and deliverables for SOX findings

  • Manage application certification processes for portfolio, including training, communications, tracking and reporting

  • Drive resolution to closure for:

      • Audit and Risk Findings

      • Security flaws

      • Certification issues

      • Application Assessment findings

      • Business Continuity plan maintenance and test/review

      • SOX and Compliance findings

  • Ensure all critical application information is captured, accurate, and current in inventory repositories

  • Drive development of application inventory reporting metrics and reporting; serve as owner for these processes

  • Lead efforts to drive application rationalization and currency updates

  • Participate in Future State Architecture roadmap development, tracking and reporting

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with ITRS team leaders to build and maintain handoffs and manage AD impacts.
  • Partner with Enterprise Architects to enable roadmap development and tracking
  • Support implementing and maintaining continuous process for technical security standards for major MetLife technologies in accordance with industry best practices
  • Partner with global working teams, gather the security requirements and recommend security products, services and/or procedures to enhance productivity and effectiveness
  • Identify and evaluate complex business and technology risks, internal controls which mitigate risks, and related opportunities for internal control improvement
  • Provide technical expertise and support in security assessments, design, developing, monitoring and supporting enterprise infrastructure environment
  • Work with AD Project Managers and leaders to address security flaws, audit and risk findings, outstanding certification, assessment and business continuity reviews and issues
  • Develop and maintain related repositories and communications for executive leadership and operational reviews

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related field, or equivalent work experience

  • Candidate must have a combined minimum of 10 years hands on experience in the field of IT

  • Strong grasp of operational processes, IT general controls, security controls and vulnerability management

  • Strong communication skills

  • Complex problem solving skills

  • Experience in developing tracking and reporting processes

  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite tools

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple partners

    Preferred: 

  • Experience in:

    • Building application roadmaps

    • IT application rationalization/currency management

    • Sarbanes-Oxley controls and reporting

    • Executive level reporting
