The Global Technology (GTS) Performance Management team provides analytic solutions and services that enable employees to make better-informed and timely business and strategic decisions. The capabilities, reports, and analysis provided by the team serves as the core data, reporting, and analytic platform for the Global Technology Organization (GTO) of MetLife.

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic associate with a strong technology background to help drive the Performance Management vision/strategy.  In this role, the individual will focus on Power BI solutions that will provide partners with the insights they require to manage and communicate the success of our services. The role will apply technical knowledge, with proven business knowledge, communication, coaching, partnership, and problem-solving skills to ensure the Performance Management team is delivering the capabilities to achieve the highest levels of data, insights, and analytics to the organization.


Key Responsibilities:  

  • Deliver large-scale projects from requirements gathering until implementation by working closely with partners and having continued focus on alignment to department goals
  • Develop, publish, schedule reports and dashboards to meet business requirements. Develop self-service models, data analytics. Trouble shoot BI Environment problems and tune for performance.
  • Ensure development and process solutions are in alignment to the Performance Management data architecture strategy, COP Power BI standards, DNA organization standards and business requirements
  • Be a leading advocate to a One MetLife culture creating a solid GTO Power BI COP presence by promotion & governance of core foundational principals and strategies
  • Drive accountability and transparency through effective governance with a disciplined focus on data-driven decision making, infusing fact-based decisions into core management capabilities, disciplined prioritization and holistic execution.
  • Lead incremental and transformative change to deliver substantial performance enhancements and actively seek opportunities to share best practices across the organization.
  • Resourceful and creative — must bring fresh out-of-the-box insights to a dynamic business environment to address critical issues, develop creative solutions, and deliver measurable value


Business Experience and Technical Skills:


  • 3+ years of experience with the following
    • Expert level knowledge in Microsoft Power BI development software
    • IT infrastructure domains, network / gateway, server utilization, virtual environments, storage, application development, end-user services and relational database concepts
    • Data Warehouse, Datasets & workflow, APIs, and relationship models
  • Ability to engage and influence multi-functional stakeholders at different levels
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field
  • Acumen to coach and influence delivering quality of information through insights derived from understanding strategy, vision and business objectives

  • Business Intelligence experience (Data Warehouse, Cognos, Service Now, Apptio software experience a plus)
  • Excellent communication skills including proactively provide appropriate level insights, collaborate with individuals to become a trusted partner
  • Knowledge of IT services, business processes and best practices such as budgeting, contractor engagements, cost allocations, operating expense handling, program portfolio management, and application/ infrastructure support
  • Broad experience in the insurance service industry
  • MS/MBA
