Role Value Proposition: 

The HAM and CM Principle is a senior level global role that scopes, designs, and owns the lifecycle of hardware asset and configuration management in support of an accurate and functional CMDB. The Principle will act as a liaison between all IT Service Management, external vendors as well as other functional groups to resolve issues regarding data quality, mapping and governance. The candidate will oversee the Hardware Asset and Configuration Management team from an ongoing improvement and operational perspective.    


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Guide the Hardware Asset Configuration Management team(s) daily functions
  • Effectively communicate, escalate and ensure issue remediation needed across the organizational landscape
  • Strategize all key components necessary for the ongoing maturity of the practice utilizing industry based knowledge of people, processes, and technology and maintain visibility within the greater organization
  • Report to leadership the state of the organization via KPIs, CSFs, as well as regular dashboards, process lifecycle improvement, and trend reports
  • Oversight of the complete hardware asset and configuration management lifecycle, and work to identify and manage control points and key performance indicators


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


  • 8+ years’ experience in a Hardware Asset or Configuration Management leadership role for large, global company
  • Fundamental knowledge and experience with ITIL
  • Knowledge of the information system environment (including both physical and virtual CI technologies)
  • Experience with leading ITSM tools (ServiceNow a strong plus)
  • Experience with discovery and inventory tools



  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related major or equivalent work experience
  • Advanced interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with internal contacts
