Role Value Proposition

The HR Content Lead will lead the HR writing content practice, shaping how the MetLife workforce learns, interacts, and navigates the services offered via digital experiences.  This role will educate and coach colleagues by utilizing guiding principles for colleagues to be empowered to create and write effortless and transparent content and knowledge across the global workforce while reinforcing and embedding the MetLife Employee Value proposition through the written form “All Together Possible” and via the employee lifecycle and moments that matter.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Closely partner with HR Governance, Global Brand and Marketing, Corporate Communications, GTO, Legal, HR and ER on creating, developing, and maintaining content which is straight forward in human language, demonstrating empathy and care in line with our employee value proposition.
  • Advise and partner with HR Governance and HR content owners to support, create and execute on content approaches and plans that drive behavior change, and enhance and embed our self-service capabilities for maximum digital experience impact.
  • Coach colleagues on best content practices globally to drive consistency, efficiencies, and effectiveness through their content
  • Participate in governance and communications forums to provide input on items such as service scope and service delivery and assist in resolving operational issues

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills

Required:

  • Excellent English and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • 3-5 years of experience in content creation and design with a good understanding and ability to write compelling stories to engage the audience
  • Ability to interpret client requirements and adapt style to match corporate tone of voice
  • Ability to successfully collaborate and sustain strong relationships with cross functional teams
  • Project management, planning and organizational skills

 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism/Marketing or other relevant discipline
  • Ability to analyze, present content, and manage and influence leaders
  • Curiosity demonstrating the ability to challenge the status quo
