Role Value Proposition: The FWA center of Excellence exists to support our Claims Professionals with elimination of Fraud Waste and Abuse by providing expertise in the areas of analytics, analysis, reporting and training.  These factors will lead to improved detection, prevention, and increased quality outcomes with the goal of strengthening MetLife’s deterrence of Insurance fraud, waste and abuse. This position is primarily responsible for the development and delivery of our training and communication strategies of the Fraud Waste and Abuse (FWA) Center of Excellence ( CoE).  This individual will help to develop, draft, produce and distribute FWA communications and training materials for global Group Health Claim Products (Dental, Disability, Long Term Care, FEGLI, Group Life, Medical and Total Control Account).   This position will assist with providing the overall global FWA communication and training materials in accordance with our enterprise wide messaging vehicles and partners 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for planning, designing, developing, and delivering (where appropriate) FWA strategic/tactical training and instructional programs, using instructor-led, train-the trainer, electronic/web-based, and/or multimedia training methods and formats. Apply best-in-class approaches aligned with the evolving technology to the design and development of learning programs.
  • Researches and studies advancements in educational technologies and methods; evaluates effectiveness of training and development programs, utilizing appropriate data collection instruments and procedures. Recommends and/or implements innovative solutions, modifications and enhancements to technology training programs
  • Communicate with business partners, across all of GHC, on the training agenda for the company and the development and implementation of FWA training programs.  Includes technical and non-technical training, as required.
  • Development of FWA content and design for internal website, digital and print communications, and socialization materials for all claims professionals. 
  • With manager support development of internal/external communication strategy and delivery of the same for corporate and specific FWA initiatives.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


  • Advanced knowledge of the insurance industry and/or substantial work experience in the group health claims, fraud management for Disability, Dental, Long Term Care as well as Group Life, FEGLI and Total Control Account
  • 5+ years Training experience
  • Digital communications experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills





  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Prior Insurance Claims experience
  • Experience Building Sharepoint sites
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must have the ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Must have excellent computer skills
  • Project management skills
