As a data engineer you are responsible for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of data solutions, based on a set of standards and processes which establish consistency across the enterprise, data, reduce risk, and promote efficiencies in support of the organization’s and the business goals and objectives. You will collaborate closely with the Scrum Lead, Product Owner and ART Leadership. You will have an opportunity to impact every part of the system, foster and cultivate your curiosity and iterate over solutions to be the very best you can be to deliver for our customers.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the collection and documentation of user requirements
  • Analyzing, designing and driving solutions for major components and features
  • Implementing enterprise level data integration solutions and reporting models
  • Ensuring secure, quality and integrity of data across platform
  • Investigating and resolving production management incidents, problems, and service requests.
  • Interfacing with key stakeholders and business leaders
  • Working with cross-functional teams for delivery
  • Mentoring Mid/Junior Software Engineers

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Five plus years in data engineering with ETL and reporting background.
  • Ability to build, deliver and operate complex, cloud-based data solutions using Azure services.
  • Proficiency working in data integration tools like SSIS, Azure Data factory and Informatica.
  • Proficiency with reporting tools like Power BI, SSRS
  • Proficiency with SQL, USQL, Data Models and Datawarehouse and ETL design concepts
  • Proficiency with various database technologies SQL server, Azure SQL and Azure Data Lake
  • Proficiency with modern data analytics services like Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Code Management and Git flow.

 

Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • DevOps practices for CI/CD, release management, and automation using Azure DevOps
  • Git-based repositories such as GitHub, Bitbucket or Azure Repos
  • Experience with Agile software development (like Scrum or Kanban)
