Role Value Proposition 

The Director of Business Continuity Testing is a new role within the Global Business Continuity team, focused on continuous improvement of the company’s mission to deliver critical business services and our ability to respond to severe yet plausible stress scenarios.

  • This role will define the exercising and testing framework, program strategy, and oversee the execution of exercises and tests in accordance with the Company’s Global Business Continuity Resiliency Program.
  • Incumbent will have responsibility for providing testing team leadership support by transforming the existing testing operating model into an integrated end-to-end services test model, while simultaneously managing current business as usual testing activities.
  • This includes responsibilities for developing, socializing, implementing, improving, and supporting business continuity / disaster recovery testing processes and impacts to a service.
  • Director of E2E BC Testing must coordinate with regional partners and the global planning team to deliver a consistent and effective testing program.


Key Responsibilities

  • This role will develop the global resiliency testing framework (including business recovery strategy testing and end-to-end testing for critical business services)
  • Provide governance and oversight of the resiliency testing program, including tabletop exercises with senior management
  • Perform, review, and challenge resiliency testing to identify gaps and material risks
  • Utilize the agile process to deliver a testing program and implement solutions to meet company’s and regulatory resiliency and continuity requirements
  • Proactively self-identify issues, document risks, develop and implement corrective actions around resiliency testing
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Global Resiliency certification preferred.

 
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills

  •  5+ years demonstrated experience in Resiliency/Business Continuity Testing
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex enterprise-wide initiatives
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience driving improvements at all levels of the enterprise
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to develop, influence, and maintain sound relationships with additional business continuity organizations, line of business partners and control functions
  • Provide business continuity subject matter consulting for audit and regulatory matters
  • High level of motivation, drive, and demonstration of leadership values
  • Ability to work seamlessly with all levels of personnel
  • Demonstrated sensitivity and knowledge of cultural differences with experience in multi-country, multi-cultural environments and demonstrated success with cross-geographically based cultural collaborations

The wage range for applicants for this position is $118,400-$157,900. The role is eligible for incentive compensation under the sales incentive plan for your position. MetLife offers a comprehensive benefits program, including healthcare benefits, life insurance, retirement benefits, parental leave, legal plan services and paid time off.
