Role Value Proposition: 

MetLife Global Technology & Operations is looking for a campus recruiting manager to manage the hiring and program management for the MetLife Technical University (MTU) Programs. MTU consists of an early-in-career program that prepares recent college graduates to be job ready through a multi-week business and technical training. This role will also be hire and oversee the 10 week summer internship program.  The focus of both programs is to develop the next generation of technical talent. 

    

Key Responsibilities:  

The role of Director of MTU Recruiting requires a person who is comfortable both operating strategically and implementing tactically.  It requires managing the MTU recruiting strategy as well as the MTU recruiting implementation and processing of entry level and intern hires.  The person must enjoy working in a start-up environment with in a large company.  Specific responsibilities include:

  • Generate and manage brand awareness both internally and externally
  • Create and manage MTU entry level and intern hiring demand/pipeline strategy
  • Gather and manage the hiring numbers from all technology divisions and meet their demand
  • Develop, manage and oversee recruiting events, sponsorships, scholarships, etc.
  • Serve as Program Manager for entry level participants providing check ins and professional development           
  • Train and supervise intern Program Manager, Recruiting Coordinator and contractors when needed
  • Manage and execute the screening, assessing and interviewing process with program candidates
  • Improve, implement and manage candidate experience, recruiting, keep warm, and retention strategies
  • Perform recruiting activities as required
  • Manage recruiting data and provide final statistics/reporting on diversity and cohort composition
  • Manage MTU recruiting budget
  • Partner with curriculum team to develop trainings for entry level participants
  • Implement and oversee orientations and onboarding for entry level and intern programs

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree and/or SHRM designation preferred
  • 7-10 years of university or campus recruiting
  • 5+ years managing geographically dispersed teams preferred
  • People management experience required
  • Preferred experience with Universities and career centers
  • Preferred experience with technical staffing
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently deliver customer-focused, bottom-line oriented staffing solutions as a member of a business team
  • Ability to deal with rapidly changing organizational issues and manage the impact of change on the organization, its culture and associates
