Role Value Proposition: 

The Customer Insights and Actions (CIA) team at MetLife plays a critical role in helping teams better understand customer usage of platforms and sites. The CIA team manages analytics across 40 markets, 5 mobile apps, and over 20 user platforms. This data is used for reports and dashboards that are actively used by the business for reporting and optimizing the sites. As part of the CIA team, the Analytics Activation team is looking for a Digital Analytics Developer that will drive business critical analytics development projects. This role will own projects from inception to requirements gathering, code development, and reporting.

    

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Architects analytics tagging code across platforms and devices with a keen focus on quality, site performance and scalability.

  • Responsible for keeping track of and adhering to project schedules and delivery dates; consistently promoting code on time and to spec throughout various stages of project.

  • Defines and drives the data architecture and data governance across multiple analytic solutions.

  • Understands new and emerging analytics capabilities working to integrate digital touch points to improve measurement of the customer experience.

  • Implements javascript tagging in tag management tools and onsite.

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

 

Technical experience

  • 3-5 years of javascript development experience working with frameworks such as jquery or AngularJS

  • 3-5 years of experience with any digital analytics tools, preferably the Adobe Marketing Cloud which includes Adobe Analytics, Dynamic Tag Manager, Adobe Launch or Google Marketing Cloud applications.

  • Clear understanding of many types of variables in syntax, features, functions, and limitations.

  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Experience Cloud Tools: VISTA, Data Sources, SAINT.

Analytics experience

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in analytics, business analytics, web analytics and/or testing and optimization.

  • Agency and or experience working on large eCommerce websites is highly desirable.

  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment where innovation is expected.

  • Familiarity with digital marketing programs like display, social, video, email, paid and organic search, affiliates, etc is preferred.

  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously with demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks independently.

  • Strong self-initiative with the ability to identify areas of improvement with little direction.

  • Fine attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate end-results.
