Department: Global Technology & Operations is responsible for technology development, infrastructure, information and cyber security, data strategy and analytics, customer service, and operations in support of all lines of business across 40+ markets around the world.

 

The Role: The Business Planning & Strategy Consultant performs activities that support strategic business planning functions within the Global Technology & Operations, Strategy & Planning department. The incumbent will participate in business planning, operational and expense management reporting, benchmarking and performance measurement. Partners with management to develop metrics, performance measures, and operational reports that support business objectives and results.

The Strategic Business Planning role has the responsibility to lead and support end-to-end strategic planning process for leadership conferences, meetings, and events, including site visits involving executives and senior leaders. This role will lead the design, planning, orchestration, and implementation of leadership events and collaborate across functions within GTO and across the enterprise. Additionally, the role will support activities across the strategy and planning team.

 

Role focus:

  • Be a strong team player who works cross-functionally across all areas of Global Technology & Operations, including Global Customer Services & Operations, Global Business Solutions, Global Technology, Global Infrastructure, Information Security, Data & Analytics, Business Controls, Corporate Security, Workforce Enablement and the Enterprise, including Global Communications and Global Events Management
  • Manage leadership events, including leadership conferences, SLT engagement with local sites and strategic meetings
  • Align and develop major events calendar in partnership with strategic planning community across GTO
  • Support the design and development of leadership events and agenda
  • Coordinate participants, partners and content across functions and across the enterprise
  • Assist in the development of best practices, to continuously improve how we deliver events in a sustainable way

 

 Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support and influence the development of GTO’s leadership events, design and implementation plan
  2. Lead the tracking of key milestones & deliverables for leadership events
  3. Develop relationships and manage stakeholder alignment and coordination
  4. Create and deliver presentations for senior management and stakeholders to report on status and progress
  5. Collects data and conduct analyses
  6. Develops and refines performance measures as internal benchmarking tools
  7. Manage processes needed to support financial reporting requirements for major events

 

Key Relationships:

  • Reports to: AVP, GTO Strategy & Planning
  • Key Stakeholders: Across Global Technology & Operations, Global Communications and Global Events Management, Facilities, Procurement

 

Candidate Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in business operations, project planning, event management
  • Prior experience managing large complex projects, including the ability to create and execute project plans
  • Strong financial acumen incl. experience in financial reporting, processes, strategic thinking, influencing capabilities
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to prepare and conduct presentations and communicate with senior and executive management
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree required
