Analyst, IT Risk Governance

Role Value Proposition:

The associate will be a critical member of IT Risk supporting all lines of business. The ideal candidate will have experience within IT Risk and Information Security. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a strong sense of customer service, who finds the MetLife culture compelling and will readily assimilate into the environment. 

  • Manage processes for communicating, tracking and resolving outstanding risks, security scans, audit findings, and business continuity plans.     
  • Drive resolution to closure for:   
    • Audit and Risk Findings
    • Security flaws
    • Certification issues
    • Application Assessment findings
    • Business Continuity plan maintenance and test/review 
  • Drive development of application inventory reporting metrics and reporting; serve as owner for these processes 


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Be the liaison between US AD and Business IT Risk Function and Investments Technology
  • Coordinate operational activity including risk assessments, risk findings, disaster recovery compliance, and associated line of business reporting
  • Respond to client requests for related security and audit related information
  • Coordinate the status of issues and deliverables and drive open items to timely resolution
  • Become an SME on MetLife IT Risk policies
  •  Partner with other ITRS teams to build and maintain handoffs and manage AD impacts
  • Work with AD Project Managers and leaders to address security flaws, audit and risk findings, outstanding certification, assessment and business continuity reviews and issues
  • Assist in maintaining related repositories and communications for executive leadership and operational reviews


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Candidate must have a combined minimum of 10 years hands on experience in the field of IT
  • Strong grasp of operational processes and controls
  • Project management experience
  • Business Systems Analysis experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Complex problem solving skills
  • Experience in developing tracking and reporting processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite tools
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple partners


  • Experience in:
    • Building/maintaining application roadmaps
    • IT application rationalization/currency management
    • MetLife IT tools and processes
    • Proficient in Archer and EAI navigation
    • Familiarity with regulatory attributes
    • Executive level reporting
