As a member of MetLife’s Agile Enablement team (Global Lean-Agile Center of Excellence), you will help accelerate the next phase of MetLife’s Agile Transformation! Our team provides a leadership role in the Enterprise evolution towards agility. We are looking for someone with equal parts people leader and operational excellence professional to join the team to grow our agile thought leaders. This role will provide the exposure and experience of leading an agile transformation at scale. You will be exposed to and partner with various business functions and technology portfolios.

 

Key Responsibilities:

This role combines enterprise agile transformation thought leadership and leading a team responsible for our Agile Enablement operations. Your team is focused on integrating the various needs of the business into a strategically-focused, best-in-class journeys for the end-user.

 

  • Managing a team of ~5 Agile enthusiasts to develop agile ways of working solutions, implement operational processes and monitoring community adoption.
  • Directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their talents in our fast-paced transformation environment.
  • Owns our Agile Enablement Service operations; the end-end management for our Agile Capabilities. Training, Execution & Coach Enablement, Agile Consulting and service access operations (home site, social networks, etc.).
  • Develop and roll out scalable operating models for agile ways of working, incorporating Design Thinking, Lean and Agile.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, include feedback mechanisms to support coaching and continuous learning.
  • Maintain 3rd party contracts, financials and enterprise license subscriptions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on frameworks, methods and scaling patterns and as an advocate for adopting new best practices and processes.
  • Establish and maintain Agile Enablement Services and set quality and performance standards.

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • Demonstrated ability to influence change at the organization level to form productive relationships quickly
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile frameworks, methods and scaling patterns; Scrum and SAFe preferred.
  • Experience in at least 3 of these areas:
    • Business Performance Analysis
    • Operations Management & Analytics
    • Operations Transformation
    • Operational Efficiency & Control
    • Process Management and Design
    • Process Design and Automation
    • Change Management
  • Excellent presentation, influencing, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to shape strong presentations and narratives that influence and commit people to change
  • You are a creative team-oriented self-starter with strong analytical skills, an entrepreneurial mindset and proven design-thinking skills
  • You are able to navigate ambiguity and can work effectively in a changing and quickly evolving environment
  • Experience facilitating brainstorming sessions is a plus
  • Innovative, creative, excited to learn
  • You have the ability to think out of the box and inspire others

Preferred:

  • Experience working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Skills establishing and growing Agile Coaches
  • Background establishing Agile maturity models
  • Experience with Agile tools (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, TargetProcess)
  • SAFe SPC Certified or other SAFe certifications
  • Bilingual - Spanish
