Director & Actuary

We are looking for a new Director & Actuary to join the Holdings Retail Annuities team of our Center of Excellence in Argentina.

What you will do in this role…

• Supervise and review work of up to 5 globally located actuarial students.
• GAAP reserve valuation and financial reporting for deferred annuities.
• Explain reserve variances and earning analysis to the line of business.
• Create, maintain and re-certify all process documentation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary business partners.
• Participate in assumption setting process for annuities.
• Test and validate periodic model updates.
• Lead discussions with partners across multiple disciplines both internal and external.  This includes IT, risk management, accountants, auditors finance, investments.

To help you succeed, you need to have…

• University actuarial studies and at least 5 years relevant actuarial experience.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in a financial reporting role including explaining financial results to management, auditors, etc.
• Experience modifying and running actuarial valuation models.
• Reviewing experience studies supporting behavioral and economic assumptions and recommending updates as needed.

• Experience managing junior actuaries including assigning work, reviewing results and mentoring.

• Demonstrated experience functioning in a matrix manager capacity.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Access. 

And it will be a plus if you…

• Have experience using Alteryx or SQL.
