Role Value Proposition: 

 

The focus of this role is to maximize the distribution of Group Benefits through the established and emerging employee benefits brokerage and consultant firms, as identified. The role is responsible for developing a deep understanding of these firms’ US strategies. The role will also develop and execute a business plan for each assigned firm that clearly differentiates MetLife based on this deep understanding.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage relationships with assigned firms & work towards an assigned firm goal:  Gallagher, Aon, McGriff, Willis Towers Watson, Assurex Global, NFP, USI
  • Develop a deep understanding of each assigned firm’s employee benefits strategies
  • Develop deep and engaged relationships with key firm influences
  • Be viewed as the go-to, trusted carrier advisor
  • Develop a unique, defined strategic plan of engagement in conjunction with each assigned firm
  • Reflect business imperatives and drive execution cross functionally
  • Coordinate with NA, Regional and Small Market sales and strategy
  • Dependencies with underwriting, product, service, technology, legal, finance, compensation, reporting, and marketing
  • Regular, ongoing review and monitoring of key firm metrics
  • Responsible for developing joint business plans to be executed at the local and national level
  • Represent MetLife at key industry and firm specific events and conferences
  • Help support MetLife training both internal and external

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 7+ years of experience in the insurance space, sales, relationship management, service, etc.
  • Has or can obtain Life, Accident, and Health insurance license
  • Moderate knowledge of ancillary and voluntary products/markets and associated regulations
  • Strong Communication/Able to communicate effectively
  • Strong relationship building and management
  • Strong customer focus
  • Strong technical & analytical skills
