Role Description:

 

The Brand and Digital Marketing role is a new role in the UK Marketing team.  It is aligned to the EMEA Regional Marketing structure and will be a key role in driving marketing success in the UK.  The role holder will be responsible for development and implementation of the UK digital marketing strategy, digital marketing programme and integrated marketing activity to support the UK business’s sales, growth and retention plans.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for working collaboratively with the business line marketing managers to build and execute integrated, measurable multi-channel marketing programmes that drive lead generation and nurture relationships through B2B channels. He or she will be the lead in providing integrated marketing services to support local campaign planning, execution and optimization and with a heavy emphasis on digital. The role will also ensure creative and strategic alignment in our marketing efforts to advance the MetLife brand strategy in the UK. Additionally, this individual will be setting and reportin on campaign KPIs, establishing test-and-learn programmes, overseeing activation budgets, and driving agency relationships.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Coordination with internal and external teams to deliver campaign planning, execution, optimization and reporting

Marketing programme portfolio management, including people, asset and budget allocations

Provide strategic and tactical guidance on digital best practices as an integrated marketing expert. Evaluate workflow process, suggest process improvement and recommend efficient solutions. Partner with enterprise support and enablement functions and in particular Global Technology and Operations to drive efficiency and effectiveness of digital solutions.

Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors, and internal agency counterparts

Manage and build campaigns to deliver integrated marketing solutions for the UK

Candidate Profile

 

Business Experience and Technical Skills:

 

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field, or an advanced degree in business or marketing is highly preferred. 
  • 7+ yrs. relevant marketing experience, with deep knowledge of campaign management, advertising and integrated marketing communications, including strategy, creative, production and media.
  • 5+ years digital marketing experience, with demonstrable experience leading and managing digital media, social media campaigns, SEO/SEM, email and/or display advertising campaigns and driving tangible business results
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking, but also highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Expert in measuring and reporting on campaign activity, able to scale campaigns, measure ROI, LTV, and determine scalability based on those and other quantitative metrics. Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • 2+ yrs. managerial experience (including agency management)
  • Influential leadership skills with ability to distill large amounts of data into clear, concise and actionable recommendations
  • Proven ability to develop productive cross-functional partnerships. Able to navigate through a large, complex and global organization with intricate and broad product set and multiple “clients” to serve
  • Competency in managing integrated marketing budgets – across multiple markets/campaigns 
  • Proven analytical acumen and strong results orientation

 

Preferred

  • Knowledge and experience in professional services in a B2B environment
  • Ability to interface effectively with diverse clients and build strong relationships; ability to interface with senior level partners
  • Ability to think strategically, understand business risk and apply creative problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter with ability to make/contribute to recommendations, prioritize, manage and track multiple projects
