Role Value Proposition: 

Senior Metrics Consultant will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of several complex financial reporting processes and metrics models in MS Access, Alteryx, and Excel. The role works with Group Benefits’ finance teams, distribution channels, and internal partners directly to provide independent analysis and financial analysis / metrics support. Strong working knowledge of relational database / data manipulation skills and attention to detail is required, the candidate should also possess critical thinking skills and be an effective communicator.


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Create, maintain, and manage a set of complex financial and broker metrics processes and models built in MS Access, Alteryx, and Excel.
  • Perform independent analysis / investigation, present findings and propose solutions to stakeholders including leadership and internal partners.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and document complex processes built in MS Access, Alteryx, MS Excel, PeopleSoft, and SQL scripts.
  • Experiment with Power BI, Qlikview, Alteryx leveraging existing processes and datasets.
  • Work experience in group benefits business and knowledge in GAAP accounting are strongly preferred
  • Foster a continuous improvement mindset and propose enhancements to the data management and analysis framework, leveraging data and technology, informed by industry standards and best practices
  • Actively participates in conducting research, gathering quality information and the production of reports that provide key quality improvements and business optimization opportunities. 


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, and Alteryx.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Five years + of experience working with ledger/subledger, and financial reporting tools
  • Ability to plan, multi-task, prioritize and able to work with a flexible work schedule
  • Ability to listen and understand the customer’s needs
  • Demonstrated critical thinking in activities requiring analysis and investigation.
  • Exhibits strong problem solving, analytical skills, highly motivated, adaptable to change, and  attention to detail.
