Role Value Proposition: 

Draft, file, and/or negotiate policy and related forms with a focus on speed to market. Implement rate, rule, and policy form revisions by participating and submitting filings to regulators. Respond to related questions and concerns and coordinate the release of materials.    


Key Responsibilities:  

  • Performs administrative aspects of generating basic contract documents and maintains filing documentation.
  • May participate in the analysis of product plan designs and provisions to ensure contract accuracy.
  • Completes filings for multiple companies and/or contain multiple forms.
  • Maintains the record keeping for filings, including managing the files and updating appropriate databases and systems.
  • Receives general direction and guidance from contract development consultants.
  • Recommends and implements changes to the filing process and makes the appropriate changes to the compliance database.
  • Participates in the annual list process under the supervision of management or a senior consultant.
  • Maintains knowledge of company policies and State rules and regulations impacting filing.
  • Assists with policy audits for all companies to ensure accurate implementation of projects.
  • Conducts research for contract development consultants.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.
  • Cross-Training to support other functions as directed by management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Moderate understanding of insurance industry, product lines, and policy provisions. Basic knowledge of policy form filing requirements. Basic knowledge of contracts. Moderate customer focus

Experience and Education: 1-2 years insurance industry experience, high school diploma


  • Strong computer skills
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Access
  • Group insurance experience
  • Able to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and partnership skills



  • Experience creating queries, etc. in MS Access
  • Experience with business requirements (authoring, partnering with business analyst, etc.)
  • SERFF experience
