Role Value Proposition: 

This position is part of Large Market Segment Finance team within Group Benefits Finance. This team works closely with Sales Leadership, Sales Support, Product and Cross Portfolio finance to plan, analyze and report on North America Segment metrics to help Group Benefits achieve business goals. Key responsibilities of this multi-functional role include plan, project, and analyze P/L of North America Segment, support annual planning process, and financial modeling and initiatives related to the NA segment and overall Group Benefits goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Develop and distribute financial reports to support business partners in an accurate and timely fashion.   Perform analysis and report on monthly/quarterly financial Customer unit results. Compile, validate, report on financial analytics and deliver quarterly Customer unit level financial scorecards.
  • Drive the annual financial plan development process.
  • Financial modeling for North America segment initiatives and projects, including Healthcare strategy.  Support and possibly manage additional projects that impact the NA finance team. Conduct financial deep dives on key financial indicators for the NA finance segment and Customer unit results.
  • Prepare and deliver quarterly Business Reviews, In Market reviews for Customer units.
  • Participate and/or coordinate various ad-hoc requests (including, but not limited to testing, historical case research within our systems, and formulating recommendations based on findings) Develop and maintain strong business relationships with customer unit and other internal business partners.

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

 

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in finance or finance-oriented role
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong knowledge of pivot tables and advance formulas is highly desired

Preferred:

  • Detail oriented problem solver.
  • Ability to work independently or as a part of a team.
  • Demonstrated analytical and time management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.  Experience presenting to internal and external management a plus.
  • Knowledge of MS Access a plus.
  • B.S. in Finance or Accounting preferred
  • Group Benefits product knowledge is a plus
