Role Value Proposition: 

This position is within the Group Benefits CFO organization in the Financial Management Group, specifically supporting the Regional Business market.

 

You will report to the AVP responsible for Regional Business financial planning and analysis. This role has responsibility for creating financial reports, providing detail analysis on variances, and summarizing results in a succinct manner for communication to our business leaders.  This position will also support various financial studies including ROI, IRR models, and analytics to guide management on growth strategies for sales and revenue.  Additionally, the position will assist in the development of the annual financial plan for Regional Business and provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support the Regional Business CFO.

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Perform a variety of financial studies to analyze and report interrelationships of financial information.
  • Determines validity of data and provides supporting explanations of conclusions reached; utilizes data to project future short- and long-term scenarios and anticipated results.
  • May support analysis/reporting and the integrity of financial data by developing the financial systems infrastructure, establishing controlled financial transaction processing through administrative systems, or providing technical support in the production of reports/analysis.
  • High level of financial expertise and more complex analyses/expertise.
  • Prepares, downloads, compiles, formulates complex financial reports; interprets financial trends.
  • Supports financial management as a key internal consulting resource.

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • Strong ability to present financial data concisely and clearly
  • Strong Excel proficiency
  • Extensive analytical skills 
  • Strong consulting, interpersonal, communications, time management, project management

 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or MIS preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of computer systems and financial software and technology
  • Extensive knowledge of financial concepts, principles, and practices
