Role Value Proposition: 

The selected candidate will be part of the Global Actuarial Development team and support the professional development of MetLife’s actuaries across the enterprise through specialized programs and miscellaneous projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Supporting the US Actuarial Development Program and Actuarial Internship Program by addressing participants’ questions, processing program benefits, analyzing participant data, enhancing procedures, interviewing candidates, and other initiatives to foster the success of these programs.
  • Working on other actuarial professional programs such as the annual MetLife Actuarial Conference, the Actuarial Leadership Program for new actuarial Fellows, the MetLife Actuarial Code of Conduct, and the MetLife International Actuarial Rotation Program.
  • Coordinating with resources to create and maintain web pages that allow for efficient user-friendly collection of data. The candidate may need to create and/or maintain web pages directly on SharePoint.
  • Analyzing collected data and making recommendations that support program objectives.
  • Overseeing the implementation of continuing education webcasts.
  • Enhancing/improving/automating existing processes through coding/programming.
  • Creating & maintaining process documentations.

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Analytical skills to analyze current data and make effective recommendations that enhance actuarial programs
  • Ability to quickly absorb abstract concepts and apply them
  • Proficient in Excel/VBA, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to communicate with leaders and business partners effectively
  • Can work independently and provide attention to detail
  • Undergraduate degree

 

Preferred:

  • Coding knowledge in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery
  • Experience with SharePoint
  • Experience with Qualtrics
  • Some experience in digital or other design work
  • 2+ years project management experience
