This role is responsible for establishing, maintaining and enhancing relationships between an operations organization and assigned distribution channels. Serve as a primary contact within an operation unit for assigned distribution channels to provide trouble shooting and problem solving expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships with LTC producers and agencies and establish and maintain strong relationships with internal departments.
  • Anticipate and analyze operational problems and service trends, identifying opportunities for operational and quality improvements utilizing detailed knowledge of LTC business.
  • Analyze and reply verbally and/or in writing to inquiries and complaints from MetLife agents, customers, brokers and other units within MetLife on matters involving long-term care insureds.  
  • Works closely with other departments and third party administrator to resolve issues, streamline processes and detect/solve potential issues that impact service and/or are not compliant with business practices.
  • Responsible for research and resolution of complex insured and agent inquiries managing resources from multiple departments to reach resolution.  Approve exception processing within scope of the position.
  • Ensure accurate interpretation of plan provisions by departments and third party administrators servicing individual LTC insureds
  • Participates in and leads special projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


  • High school diploma
  • 3 years of relevant experience


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Proficient oral/written communication skills.
  • Proficient problem solving and analysis.
  • Proficient multi-tasking and prioritization.
  • Moderate knowledge of group products, services and systems.
