This role will support all post-sales activities relating to assigned portfolio of Long-Term Care insurance contracts. 

 

  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Serves as an intermediate level Account Specialist and provides high levels of service to ensure longevity of the accounts. 
  • Ensures provision of high quality and cost effective services.
  • Acts as relationship manager and troubleshooter for client on all non-sales inquiries; acts as key contact for the call center on escalated issues; anticipates operational problems and identifies opportunities for improvements through detailed knowledge of clients' LTC business.
  • Leads small project initiatives impacting assigned portfolio including but not limited to inflation offerings, rate increase implementations, rider mailings and payroll discontinuance.
  • Analyzes and responds to inquiries from clients, consultants, brokers and internal units
  • Coordinates responses to all DOI, Presidential and / or direct insured complaints, engaging appropriate internal partners as appropriate
  • Creates and maintains all plan documents.
  • Approves data and prepares financial statements for policyholders.
  • Ensures accurate interpretation of plan provisions by departments servicing LTC insureds.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • High school diploma
  • 3+ yrs. related experience in operations.

 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ yrs. related experience in operations.
  • Strong customer satisfaction focus.
