Role Value Proposition:
The Client Services Consultant I - Small Markets is responsible for providing administrative and customer service to group policyholders (employers), sales, brokers and vendors on policies that have 2 to 1,000 employees/ Lives. The focus for this role is for the servicing of customers with statutory disability plans, including billing and ongoing service and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responds timely and accurately to client requests and policy questions via email or phone
- Acts as liaison between client and internal MetLife areas
- Comprehension and ability to communicate provisions of MetLife Statutory Disability Products
- Ability to handle high transaction volumes on a daily basis
- Manage due and unpaid accounts to conserve business
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
- 1-3 years of experience with Statutory Disability and Paid Family Leave/Paid Medical leave coverages; familiarity with Oregon Paid Family & Medical Leave is preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and relationship management
- Ability to work in a team environment and assist other areas when needed
- Understanding of how to provide exceptional customer service and how to develop relationships. Must be able to handle multiple tasks, set schedules and priorities to meet both internal and external deadlines. Proficient problem solving and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- High School Diploma/GED
Preferred:
- Experience coming from an account management role with the insurance space
- Experience with disability and paid leave programs
- Bachelors degree

The wage range for applicants for this position is $58,500 - $78,000. This role is also eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. MetLife offers a comprehensive benefits program, including healthcare benefits, life insurance, retirement benefits, parental leave, legal plan services and paid time off.
