Role Value Proposition:

This role supports processes within the Group Benefits Organization. The primary responsibility of this position is to lead, manage & maintain all vendor admin forecasting and budget oversight and develop new or revised processes, procedures, and initiatives within the Vendor Management team.  Take projects from original concept through final implementation and provide a single point of contact for assigned projects.  This role will have significant interaction with vendors as well as internal areas within MetLife.  

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Manages and oversees the forecasting and budget for all Vendors supported.
  • Perform reporting and root cause analysis to identify potential recurring issues and facilitate the development of process improvements and new efficiencies.
  • Manages critical relationships with vendors, internal end users and business customers/leadership.
  • Conducts complex research and analysis to quantify business opportunities and issues and develops formal recommendations for presentation to management.     
  • Participate/oversee projects and/or phases of projects to implement new and/or modified processes, procedures, and/or enhancements related to vendor initiatives.  
  • Actively participate in meetings between the vendor and/or key internal partners.
  • Provides information and/or training to end users to resolve inquiries related to assigned processes, procedures and/or initiatives.

  • Oversee Capacity Model within the Vendors and team.
  • Performs reporting and analysis related to vendor initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and forecasting
  • Proven organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate project team members that are not direct reports
  • Must be able to manage multiple assignments, be organized and efficient while working under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to create and perform presentations to leaders
  • Fluent at excel and analyzing data with proven results
  • Well-developed relationship building (interpersonal, communication, collaboration) skills, both internally and externally, with customers and vendors

Preferred:

  • 8 – 10 years of related work experience
  • 5 years insurance industry experience
  • Knowledge of Group Service and Implementation processes and systems
  • Accident and Health product knowledge
  • Experience in Vendor Management
  • Exhibits flexibility in a dynamic, fast-paced business environment
